The Aesthetic Business Masters Awards are judged by people who know this industry from the inside. Not observers, but practitioners, founders, strategists, and educators who have built businesses, led teams, navigated regulation, and sat across the table from clinic owners working through the same challenges you are. This series introduces you to the people behind the scorecard, so you know exactly who’s reading your submission and what they’ll be looking for.
Meet: Trish Hammond

Trish Hamond is the pioneer behind one of Australia’s most trusted consumer platforms in cosmetic and plastic surgery, Plastic Surgery Hub. When Trish was recovering from her cosmetic surgery, she went looking for support, genuine information, and a place to ask the questions she couldn’t ask anyone in her life. She found almost nothing. No community, no honest patient stories, and no resources that treat consumers like adults capable of making informed decisions. So she created one.
Plastic Surgery Hub launched as a blog and grew into one of Australia’s largest consumer-facing directories for plastic surgeons, cosmetic practitioners, and aesthetic professionals. The platform combined patient stories, practitioner interviews, treatment education, and a searchable directory, all built on the principle that consumers deserve factual, objective information before making decisions about their bodies. The site’s podcast, Transforming Bodies, became a go-to resource for both consumers and industry professionals, featuring candid conversations with surgeons, device companies, and patients about procedures ranging from rhinoplasty to vaginal rejuvenation.
Trish won the Best Aesthetics Blogger Award at MyFaceMyBody in 2015, and the platform earned media coverage across trade and consumer publications. In 2021, she partnered with Nicole Montgomery, founder of Trusted Surgeons, to create Anybodi Aesthetics, a body-positive online community aimed at destigmatising aesthetic procedures and supporting consumers with inclusive, accessible information. The collaboration reflected a broader industry shift toward transparency and patient empowerment.
In 2022, Trish sold Plastic Surgery Hub and launched Truce Media, a Byron Bay-based digital marketing agency specialising in the aesthetic and medical industries. Through Truce Media, she provides website development, SEO, social media management, content creation, email marketing, and AI-powered client communication tools for clinics and aesthetic brands. Her agency also works with international device companies, including Sciton, on creative and marketing campaigns.

Trish wants clinic owners to think about what happens when a prospective patient Googles them for the first time. Not the paid ad or the homepage headline, but the full picture: the reviews, the blog content, the social media tone, the way the phone gets answered, and whether any of it matches the experience that follows. She’s been on the patient side of that journey herself, and she’s built two businesses to close the gap between what clinics project and what people experience. Her message is that digital presence isn’t a marketing project. It’s a trust exercise, and the clinics that treat it that way are the ones patients recommend without being asked.
As a judge for the Aesthetic Business Masters Awards, Trish Hammond brings the lens of someone who has spent over a decade watching how aesthetic businesses tell their stories, build trust, and engage with prospective patients. She understands the gap between what clinics say about themselves and what consumers experience. Entrants who demonstrate clear, honest communication, strong digital presence, and a genuine commitment to patient education will stand out in her assessment.
