1. Our Commitment
Aesthetic Business Masters Pty Ltd (ABN 69 613 828 238) (ABM, we, us, our) exists to elevate the aesthetic, medical, beauty and wellness industry through premium business education, connection and recognition. We believe that leadership and excellence are built on a foundation of integrity, inclusion and respect, and this statement sets out the governance and corporate responsibility principles that guide how we operate.
This statement applies to ABM’s staff, contractors, speakers, judges, sponsors, exhibitors, delegates and partners across all ABM events, publications and digital platforms.
2. Acknowledgement of Country & Reconciliation
Aesthetic Business Masters acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we live, work and hold our events, and pays respect to Elders past and present. We are committed to genuine engagement with reconciliation, including acknowledging Country at our events and seeking opportunities to support First Nations businesses and voices within the aesthetic and wellness industry.
3. Inclusivity, Diversity & Equal Opportunity
ABM is committed to building an inclusive community that reflects the diversity of the aesthetic and wellness industry, including diversity of gender, age, cultural background, sexual orientation, disability, and professional pathway. We are committed to equal opportunity in our speaker selection, judging panels, staffing and event participation, and we actively seek to feature a diverse range of voices and business leaders across our programs.
We do not tolerate discrimination on the basis of any attribute protected under Australian anti-discrimination legislation, including the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth), the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth), the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth), the Age Discrimination Act 2004 (Cth), and corresponding state and territory anti-discrimination laws.
4. Accessibility Commitment
We are committed to making our events and digital platforms accessible to delegates, speakers and partners with disability. This includes:
- considering accessible venue selection and seeking to accommodate reasonable access requirements notified at registration;
- providing accessibility and dietary requirement fields as part of standard event registration;
- working toward accessible design standards for the Website consistent with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), where practicable; and
- welcoming feedback on how we can improve accessibility, via the complaints process in section 9.
5. Code of Conduct & Respectful Behaviour
Everyone who participates in an ABM event, program or platform — staff, delegates, speakers, judges, sponsors, exhibitors and contractors — is expected to behave professionally and respectfully. In particular, all participants must:
- treat others with courtesy, respect and professionalism, regardless of role, seniority or background;
- engage in business networking and discussion in good faith, free from harassment, bullying or discriminatory conduct;
- respect personal boundaries and refrain from unwelcome physical contact, comments or conduct of a sexual nature;
- comply with venue rules, health and safety directions, and ABM staff instructions on-site.
6. Anti-Harassment, Anti-Bullying & Anti-Discrimination
ABM has zero tolerance for harassment, bullying or discrimination of any kind at our events or across our platforms. This includes conduct based on sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age, disability, religion or any other protected attribute, whether directed at staff, delegates, speakers, judges, sponsors, exhibitors or contractors.
Any person who experiences or witnesses harassment, bullying or discrimination at an ABM event is encouraged to report it immediately to ABM staff on-site, or via the complaints process in section 9. ABM will treat all reports seriously, confidentially and without retaliation against the person reporting, and may remove any individual from an event or program found to have engaged in such conduct.
These commitments are informed by the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) (in relation to our own workplace obligations) and applicable state and territory anti-discrimination and work health and safety legislation.
7. Ethical Marketing & Responsible Advertising
ABM is committed to marketing that is honest, substantiated and consistent with the Australian Consumer Law’s prohibition on misleading or deceptive conduct. This includes:
- ensuring testimonials, case studies and performance claims used in our marketing are genuine and able to be substantiated;
- clearly identifying sponsored content, paid partnerships and advertising in accordance with Australian Consumer Law and industry self-regulatory codes;
- avoiding marketing that exploits insecurity, uses fear-based tactics, or misrepresents clinical or business outcomes; and
- respecting applicable advertising restrictions relevant to health and cosmetic services referenced by our speakers, sponsors and exhibitors.
8. Corporate Governance & Professional Standards
ABM is committed to sound corporate governance, including maintaining appropriate business structures, insurance, financial record-keeping and compliance with the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and other applicable Australian business laws. We hold our staff, contractors, speakers and judges to high professional standards, consistent with the premium positioning of the Aesthetic Business Masters brand.
9. Complaint Process
If you have a complaint about an ABM event, staff member, speaker, judge, sponsor, exhibitor, or any conduct inconsistent with this statement, please contact us using the details in section 12, providing as much detail as possible. We will:
- acknowledge your complaint within a reasonable timeframe;
- investigate the matter fairly and, where appropriate, confidentially;
- take proportionate action, which may include a warning, removal from an event, or termination of a commercial relationship; and
- provide you with an outcome or update within a reasonable period.
10. Whistleblower Reporting
ABM encourages staff, contractors and business partners to report genuine concerns about unlawful, unethical or improper conduct connected with ABM’s business. Reports can be made to the contact listed in section 12 and will be treated with appropriate confidentiality and protection from reprisal, consistent with the general principles underpinning Australia’s whistleblower protection framework.
11. Modern Slavery & Environmental Responsibility
11.1 Modern Slavery
While ABM’s revenue may fall below the reporting threshold under the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth), we are nonetheless committed to conducting our business, and selecting venues, suppliers and partners, in a manner that respects human rights and does not knowingly support modern slavery, forced labour or exploitative practices.
11.2 Environmental Responsibility
We seek to reduce the environmental footprint of our events where practicable, including through digital-first communications and program materials, thoughtful venue and catering choices, and encouraging responsible waste practices at our events.
