The Aesthetic Business Masters Awards are judged by people who know this industry from the inside. Not observers, but practitioners, founders, strategists, and educators who have built businesses, led teams, navigated regulation, and sat across the table from clinic owners working through the same challenges you are. This series introduces you to the people behind the scorecard, so you know exactly who’s reading your submission and what they’ll be looking for.
Meet: Tamara Reid

Tamara Reid has spent 18 years working across every layer of the professional hair and beauty industry, and that breadth is what makes her perspective so hard to replicate.
Her career spans education, sales, brand marketing, strategic partnerships for franchise groups, beauty distribution, and software-based business solutions. She has worked with independent operators, multi-site franchise groups, emerging brands, and established market leaders, giving her a rare understanding of how hair and beauty businesses operate at every level of scale and complexity.
Tamara founded Beaute Industrie, Australia’s first online support community for the professional aesthetic industry. She established The Aesthetic Beauty Industry Council (ABIC), helping to shape the industry’s unified voice to government and set new benchmarks for professional standards. She was instrumental in these ventures, reflecting her long-standing commitment to building infrastructure that recognises, supports, and strengthens the broader industry, not just individual businesses.
Today, Tamara Reid is the CEO and Brand Consultant for Inside Industry, developing and executing strategies that boost brand visibility, engagement, and revenue. Her ability to forge and nurture relationships has been instrumental in driving business growth and establishing revenue scalability for her clients. Whether she’s advising on brand positioning, go-to-market strategy, or partnership development, her focus is on sustainable, commercially grounded growth.

She is also the founder of the Best In Skin Awards, which recognise and reward the best skin therapists in Australia and inspire others to strive for success in their own careers.
Tamara wants clinic owners to pay closer attention to who they align themselves with and why. She’s watched businesses grow quickly on the back of flashy partnerships that looked good on social media but delivered nothing commercially, and she’s watched others grow steadily by choosing partners who brought strategic value, shared their audience, and contributed to the business beyond a logo on the wall. Her message is that partnerships should serve your growth plan, not just your events calendar. The clinic owners who build with longevity in mind are the ones who choose collaborations based on strategic fit rather than proximity or flattery.
Her voice carries trust and integrity across the industry. She is known for saying what needs to be said, thoughtfully and constructively, and her perspective is shaped by having sat on every side of the table. As a judge for the Aesthetic Business Masters Awards, Tamara Reid brings that full-spectrum lens. She’ll be looking for businesses that demonstrate strategic intent, strong partnerships, and growth built with longevity in mind.
