Meet: Robin Curran
Robin Curran wants clinic owners to take governance as seriously as they take their treatment menu. Clinical guidelines, professional standards, training frameworks, and hiring structures aren’t the exciting parts of running a practice, but they’re the parts that protect it. She’s spent two decades building the institutional infrastructure that underpins safe, high-standard aesthetic practice in Australia, and she believes the clinics that invest in governance early are the ones that avoid the problems that derail businesses later.
Robin holds more letters after her name than most practitioners will collect in a career. A Master of Nurse Practitioner (MNP), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and memberships with the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners (MACNP), the Australian College of Nursing (MACN), and the Australasian Society of Cosmetic Dermatologists (MASCD). Each one represents a deliberate investment in clinical depth, academic rigour, and professional leadership.
Robin is a Nurse Practitioner with more than two decades of experience across medical aesthetics, dermatology, and weight management. She practises in injectables, where she combines advanced training with the latest technologies to address skin conditions and health concerns through a holistic, patient-centred approach.
Her influence extends well beyond the treatment room. Robin served as Chairperson of the Cosmetic Dermatology Faculty at the Australian College of Nursing, where she shaped clinical guidelines and professional standards for the sector. She is nationally recognised as a trainer and speaker, regularly collaborating with AHPRA-registered doctors and nurses to share her expertise through training programs and conference presentations.
Robin also co-founded EvansPetersen (EP) Healthcare, a national recruitment services provider specialising in pharmaceutical, medical device, and aesthetics placements across Australia. The company has operated since 2005 and employs a national team covering Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. For clinic owners, that means Robin understands the hiring landscape from the inside: what good candidates look like, how to structure recruitment strategies, and how to build clinical teams that perform. She has also held a leadership role at Artisan Aesthetic Clinics, where she established rigorous training frameworks for clinical teams.
