The Aesthetic Business Masters Awards are judged by people who know this industry from the inside. Not observers, but practitioners, founders, strategists, and educators who have built businesses, led teams, navigated regulation, and sat across the table from clinic owners working through the same challenges you are. This series introduces you to the people behind the scorecard, so you know exactly who’s reading your submission and what they’ll be looking for.
Meet: Jade Spehr

Jade Spehr spent years at PwC advising multi-million and billion-dollar organisations on governance, risk, and growth strategy. She could have stayed in corporate law. Instead, she noticed something that kept pulling her attention: small business owners, particularly in service-based and healthcare industries, were building businesses without access to the strategic tools and systems that larger companies took for granted.
Talented practitioners were pouring everything into their clinics and still feeling like they were guessing their way through the business side. Jade wanted to change that.
Enter: JadeStart.
Jade is a business strategist, coach, and educator, and the co-founder of JadeStart alongside her partner, Aaron. Originally trained as a lawyer, she brings a level of strategic clarity and commercial thinking uncommon in the aesthetics coaching space. She has supported more than 2,000 clinics globally, helping owners improve profitability, strengthen leadership capability, enhance client conversion, and build high-performing teams.

What makes Jade effective is her ability to translate complex business concepts into strategies that clinic owners can follow without feeling overwhelmed. Her approach focuses on the fundamentals: pricing and profitability, business structure, leadership and culture, client acquisition and retention, and long-term sustainability. She cuts through noise, offers clarity, and gives people a roadmap they can act on.
She wants clinic owners to stop undercharging and start understanding what their pricing communicates. Too many clinics set their prices based on what competitors charge or what feels “fair” rather than what the business needs to be sustainable. She’s seen it across thousands of clinics globally: the fear of charging what a service is worth almost always stems from a confidence gap, not a market reality. The clinics that price with clarity, backed by genuine value and strong client conversion, are the ones that build long-term profitability without burning out their team in the process.
Jade also brings deep empathy to her work. She understands that most clinic owners entered the industry to help people, not to manage payroll stress, staffing challenges, or marketing confusion. Her coaching acknowledges those realities and helps owners become confident business leaders without compromising their clinical integrity.
Her impact has been recognised through multiple awards, including finalist and winner placements in the Australian Small Business Champion Awards and the Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards. She was a standout speaker at the 2025 Aesthetic Business Masters events in Sydney and Melbourne, where her sessions resonated strongly with clinic owners seeking practical guidance and commercial confidence.
As a judge for the Aesthetic Business Masters Awards, Jade Sephr brings a perspective shaped by law, corporate strategy, and thousands of hours coaching clinic owners through real growth challenges. She’ll be looking for businesses that demonstrate clear strategic thinking, sound financial foundations, and leadership that extends beyond the treatment room.
