Dr Anh Nguyen obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from the University of Melbourne in 2001. She completed her internship and basic surgical training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. Dr Anh then obtained a postgraduate diploma in surgical anatomy at the University of Melbourne, whilst teaching anatomy to medical, dental and physiotherapy students.
She commenced her advanced surgical training in general surgery at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, before she moved to Perth to commence specialist training in plastic and reconstructive surgery. She obtained her fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in plastic and reconstructive surgery in 2010.

Training
Dr Anh completed the prestigious aesthetic fellowship at The Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery, before returning to Perth to commence private practice, where she worked under one of the best surgeons in Perth for many years.
Research & Presentations
She has presented at international and national conferences on her research into breast aesthetics, breast augmentation, labiaplasty, lawn mower injuries, rural trauma, thromboprophylaxis in burns patients and leadership in medical students.
Teaching
Dr Anh is committed to teaching and training the next generation of plastic surgeons and devotes a day a week to her consultant role in the public health system at Fiona Stanley Hospital.
She also mentors medical & nursing students and entrepreneurs.
Awards
In March 2023, Dr Anh Nguyen was inducted into the Western Australia Women’s Hall of Fame for her contribution to the healthcare system.
Dr Anh Nguyen was named Business Entrepreneur of the Year WA at the prestigious Telstra Business Women’s Awards 2017.

She also received a Highly Commended at the MyFaceMyBody Awards 2017 for Best Plastic Surgeon and was named Best Medispa of the Year Australasia.
Beyond the Surgeon
Outside of a busy plastic surgery practice, Dr Anh’s other role is as a mother to her young children. Being a mother has given Dr Anh insight and compassion when it comes to helping patients overcome any concerns they may have.
